Celebrate 25 Years of Flavor With Us!
505 Southwestern ®, (505SW ™) the country’s leading Hatch Valley flamed roasted green chile brand, celebrates 25 Years of Flavor this year and is hosting a major event in Albuquerque to celebrate in the location it was originally founded by local restaurateur and entrepreneur Roy Solomon. The public event, hosted at Solomon’s food hall Tin Can Alley, will feature the world’s largest portable green chile roaster which will be roasting fresh Hatch Valley chiles live for attendees. In addition, guests will enjoy live music, entertainment by celebrity chef and Food Network star Aaron May with tickets starting at just $25. We also have special gift bags for the first 150 people who purchase tickets!
The celebration is scheduled for Thursday, September 15 at 6:30pm at Tin Can Alley, on Alameda Boulevard just east of I-25. Tin Can Alley has gained national recognition as an innovative venue featuring locally-inspired food, beverages, and entertainment. Santa Fe Brewing is an anchor tenant alongside several other local vendors.
As part of the year-long silver anniversary celebration of the brand, 505SW invited its fans to submit unique recipes featuring its world famous green chile. The winner of the contest, Los Angeles resident Merry Graham is scheduled to be in attendance, and Chef May will share his unique twist on the winning recipe, Air Fryer Southwestern Salsa Verde Corn and Bacon Rangoons.
The event is open to the public, subject to capacity limitations. General admission tickets are $25 and include food from all Tin Can Alley food vendors.
Fans who are unable to join for the event can celebrate with 505SW virtually by participating in 25 Years of Flavor contests and virtual events by following 505SW on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram.
"For 25 years 505SW has been committed to creating the highest quality products using the best and most simple ingredients from the Hatch Valley. Now we want to celebrate with the people who have made our success possible," said Rob Holland, Executive Chairman of 505SW. "We will be demonstrating our commitment to our fans and communities with a recipe contest featuring incredible prizes, other giveaways, special offers, and charitable giving all year long."
In addition, more than a half dozen dishes with 505SW will be served on an all you can eat basis.

Today we offer more than 20 sauces and salsas all made with the world's best green chile. Now, we're celebrating by firing up some flame-roasted 25th Anniversary fun!

It's true — we love giving back to our community! For every online order made between April 18 and October 10 (that's 25 weeks!), 505 Southwestern will donate a portion of sales to the 505 Southwestern® - New Mexico True Scholars program, a scholarship to support a future generation of farmers. We're aiming for $25,000!
We launched the scholarship program in 2017 to recognize the passion and commitment of the recipient to pursue higher education and make a positive impact on the agriculture industry in New Mexico. One recipient for the $5,000 scholarship is selected from a pool of applicants annually based on their merit, financial need, and commitment to agriculture.

In 1997, local restaurateur Roy Solomon decided to jar his famous green chile and began selling it to his loyal patrons from the back of his restaurant. He quickly realized the potential of 505SW™ green chile and made the decision to drive to Denver to officially launch his brand. Now 25 years later, the company is still driven by its mission to bring bold New Mexico flavor to the world. Our longstanding commitment to New Mexico represents thousands of jobs and millions of dollars of economic impact to the area.
